Last Saturday we went to see the KB B-Boy World Masters, a break-dance event with guest groups coming from Korea, Japan, China, United States, France, and Holland. The event is supported by the main Korean bank, Kookmin Bank (국민은행) and is held every year around September.
The truth is most people didn’t go there to see break-dance, but to see one of the guest music groups, Big Bang. Even though outside of Asia they are not very well known (in other near countries such as Japan, Chinea or others in south-east Asia they are pretty successful), here they have turned into a media phenomenon, a kind of Korean Back Street Boys.
